If you only want to mirror a video, you can usually select the TV as the destination from most video players, for example with YouTube you can AirPlay directly from YouTube in the Safari browser on the Mac, which will just send the video to the TV, rather than the entire Mac desktop and screen. Note that the Mac screen resolution may change to accommodate the resolution of the TV, but you can adjust resolution of the display(s) in System Preferences > Displays > Resolution as you see fit. This will output everything on the Mac screen to the TV. Now your Mac screen is mirrored to the TV, courtesy of AirPlay. Give the Mac and TV a moment and soon the Mac screen will be mirrored on the TV, wirelessly. In a moment, a code will appear on the TV screen, then enter that code on the Mac when requested.Select the TV from the available screen mirroring devices.Click on “Screen Mirroring” in Control Center.
